Job Description
The QSHE Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for;
1. Ensuring that all manufacturing activity at the Shannon plant meets
customer requirements and John Crane specified standards. The Quality
Manager is responsible, also, for ensuring that all Quality management
Systems are in place and audited to ensure compliance.
2. The identification, development, and implementation of John
Crane?s HSE systems within the JSHA site.
The position is an integral part of the Shannon plant management team
and is required to contribute to all plant management activities.
This individual is responsible for collaborating with the Site
Leadership Team on QHSE improvements, leading the Quality,
Environmental and Safety certifications to the required standards,
internal audits process, external audits, and holds the Site
Leadership Team accountable for ensured compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
?* Manage all aspects of the Quality Assurance at Shannon and, from a
QA perspective, engage fully with all Division, Group and Corporate
Quality programmes in a manner that continuously improves customer
Develops and implements improvement plans and actions, using Lean &
Six Sigma methods to drive improvement in internal defect reduction,
to achieve relevant KPIs.
?* Leads the problem-solving process relating to all product quality
matters, to ensure that identified causes are fully resolved.
?* Manage all aspects of customer complaints. Initiates and follows
through with actions, communicating with corrective action reports.
?* Management of quality systems, to ensure compliance with customer
quality requirements and industry standards, including ISO **Apply on

?* Review and improve inspection procedures & test methods best
suited for the efficient quality assurance of company products.
?* Manage, support and develop Quality Engineer to ensure activities
?* Identify and drive the integration of best practices and lessons
learned in Global HSE Systems and Policies, as well as process
improvement initiatives in conjunction with Global HSE team.
?* Provide support to JSHA Operations team in the areas of HSE
systems, processes, and tools, to achieve overall business goals.
?* Collaborate with peers on a regional or global basis in the area
of HSE, ensuring alignment across the enterprise.
?* Evaluate current HSE programmes and activities and work with all
JSHA employees to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Work
with JSHA management colleagues to ensure site support of site HSE
activities to identify best practice.
?* Support ISO **Apply on the website** Environmental Management
System Certification and ISO **Apply on the website** Safety
Management System Certification in conjunction with Global Quality
Team.
?* Conduct legal compliance audits, write, and update procedures,
training, etc. Determine training requirements and aid JSHA
departments in completing training. Conduct training for managers and
employees.

The Individual
?* Bachelor?s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering,
Technical or Materials Science or EHS.
?* Lean or 6 Sigma qualification is preferable (Black belt or
experienced Green Belt).
?* Extensive professional experience in Quality, Engineering or HSE
management.
?* A strong background in continuous improvement activities, while
working in a manufacturing or engineering environment

?* Knowledge of gauging methodology and metrology.
